North Fork, a UVA Discovery Park
- The County is home to two UVA research parks, North Fork and Fontaine Research Park, that support vibrant biotechnology and life sciences communities and the intelligence and national security ecosystem.

The county has invested in Rivanna Futures, a 172-acre development area to create the Intelligence & National Innovation Acceleration Campus (INSAIC) where private sector, public sector, and academic users will collaborate. Between North Fork and Rivanna Futures are 371 acres of commercial/industrial land available.
