Madison County
Madison County was chartered in December 1792 well after the earliest colonists had settled the area. It was named for the Madison family that produced one of our nation’s early presidents, James Madison. Home to award-winning wineries, Virginia’s first historic farm brewery, various agribusinesses, and forest and wood product companies, Madison County is the perfect setting for a balance between quality of life and an excellent business location.
