Better Future Farms Opens in Louisa County, VA

Yesterday, Helen Cauthen and Candace Spence at the Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development were honored to be guests at the ribbon cutting for Better Future Farms (BFF), a controlled environment agriculture (CEA) lettuce production facility in County of Louisa, Virginia. Governor Youngkin, along with many Better Future Farms staff, cut the ribbon on the 15-acre greenhouse. David Drescher, co-founder, gave a shout out to Andy Wade, Louisa County Economic Development Director, and thanked him for his significant contributions to connecting the BFF team with key principles to make this project successful.

BFF produces more than 18,000 pounds of lettuce a day using advanced technologies similar to European production, and is the first of its kind on the U.S. east coast. You can find BFF lettuces where Taylor Farms (BFF sales partner) salads and lettuces are sold. Congratulations, Better Future Farms and Louisa County!
