Bank Loan and Micro-Lending Seminar
Whether you’re looking for financing for a start-up business or for an ongoing, established business, you need to know what borrowing options are available, what the application process entails, and what those lenders are looking for when evaluating the application.
Learn what is needed to get a bank loan. What are the 5 C’s that will be used to determine if you are qualified. What do you need to know before you go to the bank to apply for your start-up or ongoing business? You need to be prepared and this is your opportunity to understand what banks look for and what you can do to be ready to ask for a loan. Information about traditional bank loans will be presented by Sona Bank.
Also learn about the growing number of non-traditional sources of funding for a business start-up or expansion. Micro loans, crowd-funding, crowd-lending… Learn what the most popular options are and what is involved in tapping into these sources of funds.
Information about non-traditional loan resources as well as other local business assistance services will be presented by the Central Virginia SBDC and Charlottesville Investment Collaborative.
Following the presentations, there will be time for Q&A with these financial experts.

It’s a large 5 story building that used to have a bank on the bottom floor (UVA Credit Union & Stellar One). You can still see the bank drive through on the back side of the building. Our parking lot is between our building and the Omni and across the street from the McDonalds. Call 434-218-3481 if you have problems. Our office is on the 2nd floor, make a right off the elevator and walk to the end of the hall.
