Doing Business with the Commonwealth of Virginia – CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION CLINIC

Wednesday, October 17, 2018

Are you interested in selling your goods and services to the Commonwealth of Virginia and ready to take advantage of the powerful marketing tools available to accomplish this goal?

Come to our clinic and GET YOUR APPLICATION PAPERWORK COMPLETED.  You could leave this clinic with paperwork completed to be:

  • eVA registered – registered with Virginia’s online, electronic procurement system
  • SWaM certified – certified as a small, Women-owned, and/or Minority-owned Business

During this workshop, Courtney Mustin, Business Services Manager, Virginia Department of Small Business & Supplier Diversity (SBSD), will walk you through the registration processes and scan all paperwork required for completion.

This workshop is approximately 2.5 hours in duration.  To allow time for Ms. Mustin to work with every client, we will limit this class to 6 people on a first-come-first-served basis.  Everyone should bring along their own computer.

To complete your SWaM application, you will also need to bring along required documents for scanning.  For a complete list, go to Required Documents.  To complete your eVA registration, you will need to secure a Duns Number before class as this takes about 48 hours.  You can call 866-705-5711 or do this online.  You should also bring your W-9  information (officially the “Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification”).

Click on eVA Registration or SWaM Certification to preview the full application processes before the clinic.

For those that are already SWaM certified and eVA registered but would still like additional assistance, we will also be offering one-on-one counseling sessions in the afternoon.  During your one-on-one, Ms. Mustin will offer tips and best practices for utilizing the information available on the eVA website in order to develop business and to win contract awards from state and local government agencies.  These appointments are approximately 1.5 hours in length and will provide you with valuable tools for analyzing the supply and demand for the goods and services your business provides.

You may register for the class below, but please call Lynda at our office at (434) 295-8198 to schedule an individual session.
