How To Start Your Own Business – Orange and Greene Counties
Thinking about starting a small business? Have you already started and realize you may have missed a few things? This workshop is for you! We review the steps to a successful start, the registrations and regulations, and the components of sound business planning, including financial projections.
You have two options for attending this workshop:
- Attend the live/in-person workshop at the Gordon Building in Orange County
- Attend a live/online workshop at the Visitor Center in Greene County where you can view the live class (taking place in Orange) online via a large screen along with fellow attendees. There will be opportunities to ask questions of the instructor in real time. PLEASE NOTE: there are stairs at this location and, therefore, no wheelchair accessibility; if wheelchair accessibility is required, please consider attending the live/in-person event in Orange.
After attending this class, those interested in moving forward with steps to open a business are eligible for business advising appointments with SBDC Business Advisors for help focusing on concept development; business profile; feasibility studies; business plans, including financial projections; and/or assistance in developing a viable funding strategy for the new business.
