RIVANNA® expands in Albemarle County, bringing 18 new jobs

Sec. Ball (Right) congratulates Will Mauldin, CEO and President of RIVANNA, (Left) on the company's expansion in Albemarle County, Dec. 14, 2021

RIVANNA®, the developers of imaging-based medical solutions, announced Wednesday it will invest $260,000 to renovate its facility in Albemarle County, creating 18 new jobs. The money will be used to conduct a “large-scale renovation” and more than double its workforce.

In November, the medical solution company announced the purchase of a 10,000 square-foot facility in Albemarle County, signaling new construction for its spinal navigation system product line, Accuro®.

“We appreciate the commitment from the VJIP program as we hire additional personnel and scale RIVANNA’s manufacturing capacity to hit design and development milestones related to our next-generation Accuro product platforms. The local biotech community and state and local agency relationships continue to be an instrumental part of RIVANNA’s success story and positively affect our mission to elevate the global standard of care,” said Will Mauldin, PhD, co-founder and CEO of RIVANNA.
