The Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development is proud to share that AstraZeneca has selected Albemarle County for its two new pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities! This transformative $4.5 billion investment will create 600 new jobs and further strengthen Central Virginia’s leadership in biotechnology—building on assets such as the Paul and Diane Manning Institute of Biotechnology at UVA and the Commonwealth BioAccelerator.
